President | Christopher Gonzales
Christopher Gonzales is an Assistant Project Manager for Carson City Public Works. He helps manage community development permits and projects. He has 10 years of experience working on NDOT projects ranging from the planning and scoping of Traffic Safety projects to construction administration out in the field. He enjoys video gaming and gardening in his spare time and coaching soccer and basketball in his local community.
President Elect | Mara Quiroga
Mara Quiroga currently works as a Senior Engineer for Lumos & Associates in Carson City. She works on the design and management of water and wastewater projects. Her 8 years of experience in engineering have been in the private sector, working on both private development and public works projects. She enjoys relaxing with family and doing crafts in her spare time.
Darren Anderson is a Senior Project Manager for Carson City Public Works. He manages a variety of capital projects ranging from new public facilities to civil and utility projects and enjoys working with the wide range of City departments and project stakeholders. His 11 years of experience in the engineering profession have been in the public sector and he has a passion for designing and constructing capital project in an economical, timely, and sustainable manner. He is a member of ASCE and APWA and looks forward to helping the civil engineering profession grow and improve.
Acting Secretary | Director at Large | Rachel Kryder
Rachel Kryder currently works as a senior civil engineer with Resource Concepts, Inc. in Carson City. Her 17 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management have all been in the private sector, both in rural southern Nevada and in the northern Nevada area. Her engineering design experience includes commercial site development; residential subdivision design; utility design, including hydraulic analysis; drainage analysis and report writing, and grading and drainage design. In addition to engineering design and project management, Rachel has extensive experience with water rights and water resources in Nevada. Outside of work, she enjoys having interesting conversations with her family, spending time in the garden, and playing roller derby.

Director at Large | Michael Friend
Michael Friend currently works for Truckee Meadows Water Authority. His 15 years of experience include civil, water, wastewater, water treatment, and environmental remediation design as well as water modeling. He enjoys spending time with family, hiking, hunting, and serving in his local community.
Director at Large | Amanda Singleton
Amanda Singleton is an Assistant Project Manager at Carson City Public Works. She has been with Carson City for 1 year and is part of the Stormwater Management team. Working for the public sector has allowed Amanda to gain experience in project management, design, development review, and management of stormwater infrastructure throughout the city. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs on hikes, live music, and reading.
